"Fran’s experience and knowledge is vast and impressive and the way she connects with horses while working with them is truly inspiring. Fran has a deep understanding of the horse’s body and the factors that play a role in causing tension or pain. I am so thankful that Fran was a part of my [Masterson Method] journey as a mentor and coach”
-Stephanie Wilkins, MM Certified Practitioner/ former student
When you hire Fran to work on your horse, you are enlisting someone who puts your horse’s best interest first with experience, quality and comprehensive training and a passion to help him work free of pain and restrictions.
When she retired from corporate life in 2011, Fran knew the next phase of her life needed to involve helping the magnificent creature she loves so much; the horse. She wanted to help them for their own sake, and for their rider's sake as well.
When she started looking for ways to serve horses and their human partners, her research led her to the tangible and proven benefits of equine bodywork and massage therapy.
The more she learned, the more passionate she became. After she completed her initial course through Equissage, she continued to invest in her education and certifications. About a year after first completing her first massage course, she attended another week-long bodywork course from Sport Horse Therapeutic Equine Massage (Laramie, WY), which also included education on nutrition, saddle fit and hoof anatomy.
Fran then entered the rigorous Masterson Method fieldwork certification process, submitting dozens of completed case studies and working with expert coaches to refine and perfect technique. Once the fieldwork was completed, she became a Masterson Method Certified Practitioner. Soon thereafter, she was asked to first coach upcoming MM fieldwork students and then to become a mentor to those students. In 2019, Jim Masterson asked Fran to become a weekend seminar instructor as well.
Fran is simply the most experienced and education practitioner of Equine Bodywork in this area.
Fran continues to invest in her education and training and is passionate about building the most comprehensive set of tools in which to care for and assist your horse. Her ultimate goal is to ensure your horse is comfortable, happy, dynamic and vibrant in his or her work… Animated.
Her mission is to enhance and improve the health and improve performance of as many horses as she can literally lay her hands on.

"ANIMATED."
"Look it up and you will find a variety of definitions: to make lively; to bring something to life; filled with activity, vigor or spirit. Vital, dynamic, passionate, vibrant.
And thus, the name of my company and my mission were born.
A naturally quiet and reserved person, when it comes to horses, I become animated. Like most horse lovers, I could talk about my own horse for hours. When it comes to helping horses I become even more passionate. "
~Fran
Fran is also the mom to crazy rescue cat "Floyd", English Setter "Ilsa"
and her Friesian gelding, Phantom (also known affectionately as "Muffin").
